Ceiling fixer · London
VitaliiKuziutyn
Twenty years fixing ceilings on London's commercial fit‑outs. Suspended grid, MF plasterboard, perforated metal tile and drylining. Currently on site at a £1bn+ banking headquarters in Canary Wharf.
About
Vitalii was born in Ukraine and came to England twenty years ago. He has worked in construction ever since, almost all of it on London sites, and almost all of it in ceilings.
He is self‑employed, taking contracts direct from main contractors and fit‑out firms. Most of what he does is high‑end commercial: office floors, reception spaces, lift lobbies and the kind of shaped, lit detail that has to be set out properly or it shows from the floor.
He holds a CSCS Gold card as an Occupational Work Supervisor, so he can run a gang as well as work on the tools, and an IPAF licence for mobile vertical and boom platforms.
He speaks English, Ukrainian, Russian and Polish — which on a London site is less a nice‑to‑have than a way of getting a mixed gang pulling in the same direction.

A major banking headquarters, Canary Wharf
A £1bn+ scheme and one of the most closely watched fit‑outs in London. Suspended and MF ceilings across core office floors, reception and lift lobbies, working to finishes that get inspected from the floor rather than the drawing.
